Microsoft launches their 'replacement' attempt for you-tube
Soapbox, that is how they called the new service Microsoft has started as beta, under the name of MSN.
As you read in the site, it's an invitation-only service:
*Soapbox on MSN Video is currently an invitation only beta – we’ll send out new invitations as we expand access to the Soapbox beta over the coming weeks and months.
Microsoft plans to get it eventually linked to Windows Live Messenger so people can add videos links to the conversations easily, or for example, add videos to Windows Live Spaces blogs. There is a 100MB upload limit, but no limit on video length or number of videos a user can upload. You'll be able to view the videos at full screen too.
We'll see if it finally 'replaces' you-tube or Google videos, they've got to do a hard work for that.
